About Me

As you may have seen from the first entry I published on this blog, I am currently studying for a degree in Wildlife & Environmental Photography at Blackpool College in association with Lancaster University.

So how did my passion for Photography start...
From an early age I have been fascinated in wildlife and nature and in my early teens I developed an interest in photography, so what better than to be able to combine the two. Also being in the world of Dog Showing helped me get involved in photography. After visiting shows abroad and taking photos not only of the dogs but of places I visited along the way using a small digital camera, I often wondered what I could achieve with a better camera!!!
So several years later and here I am. I have just finished my second year of studies and getting ready to pounce professionally in the highly competitive world of Wildlife Photography. My first big camera was a Canon 350d which I still have and use to this day, but my pride and joy for the time being is a Canon 40d for which I am proud of the work I have photographed so far.

My Impressions of Nature!!
The work you will see on my blog are of my interpretations of Nature, through the conceptual idea of the 'Spirit of Nature'. No matter what the subject in the image is, it has a spirit and a soul and through my work I aim to capture the essence and beauty through the idea of the  Spirit of Nature! My ambition from a viewers perspective is for them to share the same experiences and emotions that I convey through my images, showing the beauty and essence but yet the fragile side of the natural world in equal measures.

So I hope you enjoy your visit to my blog on the Spirit of Nature, have a nosy round and please leave comments on my work, they will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :-))
